App developers may make their Windows programs better and more ARM-ready. The ARM version of Windows that Parallels is using is not the final version. There’s definitely room for this experience to improve. The stuff I’m no longer used to because it doesn’t really exist anywhere else on the MacBook M1 experience where most everything is quick and snappy and lacking beach balls. And perhaps some/most of the reason why it feels that way is because of the slight lag. However, for the price, it doesn’t work THAT well. Definitely works well enough to do actual work on. ![]() The tl dr version: it works! And it works pretty well. A quick stream using Revit on the new MacBook Pro M1 Max with 64GB of RAM using Parallels 17.
